I have a 6.5kw 120v 50a generator I would like to use with my 12000XP. I don't thing chargverters can be paralleled thus only 2500w output, so my question is there anyway to use the generator or grid input on the 12000XP to charge the batteries off the 120v generator?

You will need a 240V generator to connect it to the inverter and charge the batteries. You can use a 120V generator with the Chargeverter, but it will be limited to a maximum charging current of 45A.

Another option to above is to use autotransformer 120/240V as the intermediary between the 120v Gen and the Inverter.

e.g. Victron-Energy-Autotransformer-120-240V-32A

I installed  one and the setup works for me - it converts any 110v source to 240V and can power my GEN port

Ther est can be set-up in gen settings of the inverter.

Just my 5 cents
