I have a client running a 6000xp, firmware v ccaa-191011, off-grid (no AC in) open-loop. generic LFP batteries with Bat type=Lead-acid,  vBulk= 58.0. Vfloat=53

Client reports that AC output to Loads blinks off for about 30 seconds every afternoon when batteries hit end-of-charge voltage. I can't see anything in the data log because the outage is under a minute, and there are no warnings recorded in the log

Anybody else have this happen? Any ideas on why, or a setting that might affect this behavior ?

@dtbaker61 ... I have very similar setup with 6000xp and 2 280Ah indoor batteries.  I have noticed this problem as well ... I changed this setting via the Web monitor application (Old Setting Page).

The spec says <15ms switching time.

My thought it that if there was enough input power (solar or generator) for both the load (consumption) and charging the battery ... that when it stopped charging the battery it "flips" back into UPS mode (the EPS function) which causes the AC Power blip.

Oh, I am on firmware version ccaa-1C1212.

I will be able to see if the change to the AC Input Range fixes this problem this weekend.  Just thought I'd post here in case it would help.

Thanks.

@yooperjay Nope, your setup is not similar.... you have AC in, and my client is off-grid (NO ACin).

The problem she is reporting cannot have anything to do with AC-in transfer..... It has to be something related to when batteries stop taking a charge and cut back to Vfloat, and cut back available PV to cover loads.

@dtbaker61 got it.

Well I guess that setting won't help then ... I am totally off grid for sure no AC grid ... only generator/solar.

Confusing (to me at least) ... to me it looks like it sees the generator as AC input.  My issue was more of when the generator stopped, when the batteries reached the SOC I have set, that the AC output would blip like it "saw" the AC input go away and switched to UPS/EPS.

@yooperjay mmmmmm, this is not generator transfer related in this case either as there isn't one hooked up. This blink occurs when charging by regular PV when the batteries hit Vbulk, which is the end-of-charge setpoint for open-loop LFP.

Additional consideration is that as I noted in top post, the charge control is being handled by the 6000xp in an "open-loop" configuration by voltage setpoints with parameters as required for open loop charging of LFP. I suspect that the charge control has some flaw in the firmware logic and is not handling the change from the final stage of CV charge to reduce PV and drop to float gracefully.

This bug is not as bad as the current 12000xp firmware (that never drops to float), but I am guessing that both the 6000xp and 12000xp need a fix for proper CC-CV charging for generic open-loop LFP.
