This continues to be a problem. You can see from the graph that the batteries are fully charged battery current is tapering off and that loads are substantially under the limits and yet the device goes into bypass mode on and off for a long time.

Does EG4 have any suggestions about *what* could be causing it to think there is an overload?

I'm planning on getting a large start capacitor and see if putting it across the load leads helps, but other than that... I'm not sure.

It's even going in and out of bypass mode (calling it an EPS OVerload) when loads are at ~300w as seen in the second screenshot (a zoom in of the first)

For what it's worth, and you're likely aware, but there's a *whole* bunch of people with this problem in the diysolar forum: https://diysolarforum.com/threads/eg4-6000xp-eps-overload-with-small-loads.100939/

If EG4 is working on this problem, I'd love some statement that says so and I'll wait for the next firmware. If more data is needed, I'm happy to give whatever is lacking or even run experiments. If EG4 is not going to work on this problem (or at least right now), I'd love to know that too.

Just looking for some evidence that this isn't escaping notice.

I have more data. I experimented today with turning off the solar disconnect and it instantly solved the problem. The 6000xp had been ramping down the charge current as the batteries approached the full state.

In the middle of a sunny day I turned off the solar disconnect and you can see solar drop to 0 and the "EPS Overload" problem goes away. 3 hours later I turned it back on and it immediately returned.

So It seems solar charging being on and the current being limited are both required for the problem to happen.
