 I have an 18K EG4 inverter with 5K of PV and a 14K EG4 Battery.

A few weeks ago i went to check on the inverter and the Green indicator in the LCD indicated normal,

but the Green indicator to the right was turning on and off along with a relay clicking.  I shut the complete system down

for a week (only because I was out of town) and restarted the system, and all seemed to be normal both Green indicators lit

in all modes of operation.

Now The Green normal indicator (LCD screen) is normally lit in all modes of operation

The Green indicator to the right of the screen (Normal Warning Fault) goes out when switching from

battery to Grid.  Note the relay clicks during this change of operating mode as it always has, and only clicks once.

Any idea on what might be happening here ?

All advice is appreciated.

Thanks,

Matt

The "regular" state of my 18K system is this:

Normal LCD screen indicator is "On".

Normal LED indicator is "Off".

In this state my system is sitting in standby, grid passing through to loads. The Normal LED only comes on when the system switches to battery charging.

My system is EPS standby only, no PV. The battery charge cycles on briefly about once an hour to keep the battery topped up, and that's when the Normal LED comes on.

If you can share the inverter's serial number with me, I can take a look at it for you.

Hello Eric,

On Nov 25th at 5:30 PM is when the breaker was when the relay was cycling on and off every several seconds.

Support did look at the AC charge on and off times being to close in value.  At least that is what i recall.

Thanks,

Matt

@mattcrum I'm still looking into this, but has this happened at all since then?

@eg4eric I don't believe it has happened since.
