@caesarv
Where do you have your PV grounded?
Also, are you running the inverter on Lead-acid for these batteries?
I have 2 strings of 6 (535W) panels each. Each string provides about 3kW at about 240-250V and are connected to PV1 and PV2. The panels, which are about 200 ft away from my main electrical panel (and the 18Kpv) are mounted on Brightmount racks. The racks themselves are NOT grounded to the house ground, but instead are grounded via two 8-ft ground rods installed. The two positive and two negative leads are floating; i.e neither connected to ground. I do have a four-pole IMO disconnect switch that I can flip if you think this has anything to do with the flickering.
When I get a chance, I will try flipping each of my house circuit breakers, one at a time, to see if I can isolate anything.
I am running 2 sets of 16 EVE MB31 LFP batteries. The (Pace) BMS is properly communicating with the 18Kpv via the CAN bus. The inverter is set to LFP. Settings attached.
After doing some testing, I found my recently-installed mini-split heat pump (Pioneer 18k BTU) seems to be causing most of the flickering problem. I have no idea why. While I can measure the power factor on a plug-in 120v device, the mini-split is hard-wired to 240v. Anyone have any idea what to do...maybe some sort of inline filter?
FYI, I am not yet convinced that the flickering has anything to do with the 1E1E firmware as I installed the mini-split about the same time I upgraded the firmware. I no longer use my 4-ton A/C since I installed the mini-split, but I will have to see if that also causes flickering once the weather warms up; right now we are just using the mini-split for heating.
I see that firmware 2021 has been released and it has addressed at least two of my concerns/requests...one of which is the flickering. Unfortunately I am leaving for a week so I am not about to update it until I get back. I guess i will have something to look forward to upon my return! Thanks
@caesarv I apologize that it took a while, however please let me know if this resolves your issues or if they continue.
I finally got around to installing the latest firmware (-2021) this weekend. So far I have not seen any significant LED flicker even when my mini-split is running. I need to observe this a bit more over the next few weeks to make sure it is really gone, but this is very encouraging. I also noticed that they added a new feature I had previously requested. For now, I am a happy camper!
