A large current draw (4400w) in the morning caused a rapid cycling of bypass mode. It would switch back and forth every 2 seconds.
I have max discharge current from batteries set to about 2300w at the moment, so it makes sense that it would go into bypass mode. But it was leaving bypass mode after 1 second and then immediately re-entering bypass mode. It did this for 5 minutes before I noticed (lights flickering) and was able to reduce the load. At this time there was about 500w of solar available.

Notably, the screen (and the app) would briefly display 3500W coming from the solar panels. This was early morning and I know that isn't possible given the angle of the sun, so it's likely a measurement error. Any ideas of what to do here? I've had the 6000XP enter and exit bypass mode many times and it's usually been fine, it usually tries to exit bypass mode like 5 minutes after first entering. I added a new circuit to the loads yesterday (a 240V electric water heater) and it seemed to have problems when it started to use the 4000W heating element.

What Firmware is your inverter on?

Have you had this issue before, or did it just recently happen?

Did you get any alarms while this issue happened?

Firmware is at version: ccaa-180D0E. I tried to update 3 or 4 few times... but it always "Failed".

This is the first time that I can recall this happening. I've had it in use for a month or so but just yesterday moved an additional circuit (hybrid water heater) to be powered by the 6000XP.

None during this period. I do get a fair number of EPS Overload events because I have a discharge limit of 45A (small batteries, small wires). When my loads exceed this it usually flips over toe bypass mode for ~5min as expected, but this was quite different.

I have remote support enabled if you'd like to take a look.

There's also a possibly related symptom. I just installed a lot more solar, so my batteries are fully charged fairly early (and move into the "float" voltage). It seems while I'm in this phase that it's a *lot* easier to hit EPS Overload, even when my loads don't seemingly exceed the limits. I just had an instance where a load spike resulted in it being in bypass mode for ~1 hour even though the spike was seemingly short (See screenshot).
