How does one connect an RSD switch (normally open, twist to release) to the EG4 6000xp inverter without any other RSD components.  Will it shut down the inverter and an attached EG4 Wallmount battery?

To connect an RSD to the inverter, connect like this:

When the button is depressed, the inverter will trip the battery breakers and shut down the inverter - I am not certain if the inverter is grid fed if it would shut down the inverter or not.  I think it does.

If you are trying to also get a Tigo to shut down as well, you will need a double NO switch (depending on which Togo you have).

@joel-brodeur This picture is from the manual and for a TIGO external transmitter.  Are you saying hooking up to the 2 SW location with the switch will allow rapid shutdown of inverter and EG4 battery (Power Pro)?  The manual never addressed anything but the TIGO connection.

I have this inverter. It does not “trip the breakers”, the 200A battery breaker is not electrically controlled. It does shut down the inverter (all output, even grid bypass) and it “tells the battery to shut down” if your BMS and the battery comms supports that.

@dannybeardsley I should have been more clear.  On my system the with the indoor wall mount batteries, it trips the breakers on the batteries breakers as well as shutting down the inverter.

Good to know that it does shutdown all output.  I also found that it will open the gen relay so if you have a 2-wire start on a gen it should shut the gen down as well.
