Hey, all.. I'm about a month old with my new system, and I'm trying to get to my desired configuration.  And, actually, if you have a better idea, please share.  When trying to configure my system to mimic this, i think the titles/descriptions of the settings are what are confusing me - keeping in mind, I'm new to this.

System components: GridBoss, two Flexboss21's (master/slave), six 280Ah indoor wall mount batteries (2:Lithium/Lithium Brand:1), 32 (17.6kW) Aptos 550W bifacial panels

Here are my desired requirements...

1.  No battery charging from the Grid - hard requirement from my utility, binding in an agreement related to a rebate I'm receiving from them.

2.  During PV production hours (guess this will change with time and and time of year)...

  • First - handle all current loads
  • Second - charge batteries to 100%
    • Once batteries are at 100%, Sell back to Grid
    • If load exceeds PV power - the try to satisfy load by pulling from batteries until down to 20%
    • If load exceeds PV power, batteries are down to 20% - Pull from Grid
    • If during PV hours batteries get down to 20%, but then PV starts to charge them up, don't discharge again until a minimum of 30% charge is reached and pull from grid to satisfy load over PV output.  Is this possible?

3.  Outside PV production hours - always pull from batteries until down to 20%, then pull from grid.

I also changed my 'Charge Current Limit(Adc) from 50 to 250 - i have 2/0 battery cables and a 300A breaker on each FlexBoss - this is reasonable and it should charge my batteries faster without issue right?

Battery Backup Mode / Peak Shaving Mode / AC Charge Mode - all Disabled

thoughts?

thanks

Jason

If you share your inverter's serial number, I can help you get all this set up and make sure the settings are correct.
