I talked to an EG4 engineer on the phone about 9 months ago for my system design.  I was going to use three Flexboss21s, six indoor 280Ah batteries, 30KW of solar and the generator input.  I was not going to use Gridboss at the time. The engineer said everything was fine, but I should not use shared batteries because of a feature I needed.  He recommended dedicating two batteries to each Flexboss.  He gave me the reason, but I do not remember what it was.  My system just got installed with a Gridboss.  The installer configured the system with the six batteries shared across all three inverters. What is the feature difference between shared and dedicated batteries? What do you recomend?

The best configuration is to share the batteries across all three inverters. The Share Battery option was designed for customers who lack sufficient space to install the system as a single unit.

When the batteries are shared across all three inverters, the system draws from the entire battery bank.
