Granted, but the GENERAC "Exercise" function is provided to keep the motor lubricated and demonstrate start-up. Load testing has been done by actual outages and thus isn't a primary function of this feature.
But to your point, there is still a need to test the GENERAC relays will function to connect the generator to load. That looks like a manual exercise. I will be testing this in next few weeks to demonstrate I can actually call upon the Generator during a grid outage. As I understand it, the GridBOSS uses battery power in an outage and does a Generator start when battery SOC trigger is reached.
