Hello everyone,

A month and a half ago, an EG4 18KPV solar inverter was installed in my home, which I have configured correctly, and so far, it has been functioning well. However, I have noticed something that I would love to get some assistance with.

I have a battery bank consisting of four (Lead Acid) AGM deep-cycle batteries, each 12V and 400Ah. Theoretically, they should support 19.2 kWh and, for practical use, should provide 9.6 kWh. However, over time, I’ve noticed that it only charges up to a maximum of 4.2 kWh, which is equivalent to just one battery.

I have performed multiple tests, including fully discharging and recharging them to check their actual charging capacity. Unfortunately, they only charge up to 4.2 kWh.

I have correctly set the absorption and float voltages (59V for absorption, 54V for float) as per the manufacturer’s recommendations. Likewise, I have set the battery bank capacity to 400Ah. From my understanding, in order to fully charge them, the system should remain in absorption voltage for several hours. However, this never happens because the inverter limits the current, and as a result, the voltage drops to 55V while charging, providing only 40W to 150W of power.

I would like to find a way to fully charge the batteries. If you need any additional information, feel free to ask, and I’ll be happy to provide it. The online support has also been helpful, but I haven’t received a response regarding the battery charging issue.
