I've recently added a Generac 15kw backup generator to my off-grid setup consisting of two EG4 18kPv inverters running in parallel and 60kw's of EG4 LL batteries.  I have my inverters set to auto start the generator when the SOC drops to 30% but am curious what I should use for the generator shutoff value?  I currently have it set to 90% but am wondering if I could reasonably set it to 100%.

Most people only charge their batteries to 50%-60% because they use the generator as a backup to charge batteries when grid isn't available, but there is definitely nothing wrong with charging them to 100%.

Thanks.  No grid for us so the generator kicks in when we also have little to no sun for solar.  100% it is then.  Thanks again Eric.

I prefer to minimize generator use for off-grid clients and have it kick in only when needed, bump up the voltage "a little" and repeat if needed for extended snow days. I use Gen start at 50volts, run up to 54.0 volts. I do not set by SOC% because they can drift a bit and not reflect actual state of charge.

There is no need to start at 30%..... I'd take them down to 50.0v which is around 10-15%
