Helping my neighbor with his 6000xp and Indoor Wall Mount Battery.

His cycle count on the battery is high for what he has ran.

I saw there is a firmware update to address this. https://forum.eg4electronics.com/community/postid/41/

We got the cable, downloaded the update.

Ran it and everything appeared to work.  It went through all the steps as described in the guide. Delete the flash, wrote the flash and indicated success.  Disconnected the com port and cycled the battery.

Brought the system back up and the cycle count is still high and the battery version on the web monitor still shows as V2.01

On the web site the version indicates Z02T17 but the hex file in the zip shows S02T11

Did I use the right file?

Is there a reason the Web Monitor still shows V2.01 instead of V2.03 (what my system shows)?

Will the Cycle count correct itself or will it just count right from here on out?

Thanks in advance,

JB

The correct file was applied. Z02T17 is not the appropriate naming scheme for the Indoor Wallmount and refers to the All Weather Wallmount firmware version. Although there is no visual indicator confirming that S02T11, the RS232 firmware version, has been installed on the Indoor unit, the firmware update has been successfully applied. Unfortunately, the cycle count will remain the same as it was before the update, but future counts will now be accurate.

@jared Thank you sir.

Additional silly question then:

Why would my batteries (also indoor wall mount) show V2.03 on the web monitor while his show V2.01 on the web monitor?

Are the versions shown on the Web Monitor the LED versions?

Can he update to V2.03? Does it even matter?

Thanks,

JB

I currently do not have an answer there. However, would you be able to provide me with the BMS and LCD version found under settings < Version for both set of batteries?

I will be getting more information on this as I have not seen Z02T03 on production models. However, the current display of V2.01 vs V2.03 on the monitoring website would be in reference to the BMS version on the Indoor Wallmount.

@jared Thank you for the information.  Much appreciated.  Is there a BMS update for the Indoor Wall Mount?

Thanks,

JB

Edit - Never mind, I re-read that and what I meant to say is there and LED update for the batteries as there appears to be a difference there as well?

@jared Just checking in to see if you have gotten any update on the firmware version(s) on my batteries and if there is anything I should do?

Thanks,

JB

@jared I also have Z02T03. I am having an issue with CANbus. I will not hijack this thread but will watch and learn. Thanks.
