It is currently not possible to obtain a "Lithium-friendly" CC-CV charge curve when running with open loop (no comms) between the 12000xp and Lithium batteries. User *should* be able to program and manage charge curve by setting:
Type= Li-OpenLoop
Vend-of-charge= 56.2(default), and Vfloat=54.0(default)
The result should be a CC-CV curve hitting the target Veoc hit once a day, held for 0 time, and settling to Vfloat. Veoc flag can be reset to detect "night" as any time that PV voltage < 50vDC
I would like to be informed when this bug is addressed, and suggest that it is propagated to to all inverter firmware. I'd love to see it start with the 12000xp and 6000xp since I have several clients installed off grid with these, and I'd like to see proper charging, safety, and maximize battery cycle life.
still no official response from EG4 when or if this bug will be addressed for the 12000xp ?
I really would like to see this (serious) bug fixed ASAP.
STILL no fix......
and STILL no acknowledgement from Engineering that they are even working on it!
This is pretty terrible. I hesitate to sell/install any more 12000xp until this is resolved. I need confidence that I can set end-of-charge and float voltages in the Inverter settings, and verify that the charge curve is what I ask for. This is the whole purpose of AIO hardware managing charge control without an external charge controller.
If EG4 cannot deliver dependable charging for off-grid open-loop, I'll be forced to go back to some other hardware like MidNite charge control and inverter "separates" for my clients.
the silence from EG4 is deafening.
I finally got a reply today from Support acknowledging this problem, and confirmation that "they are working on it".... but no target for release of an update yet.
