I attempted to update the firmware on a new 12KPV last night and noticed the choices to upload firmware when in local connect are 18Kpv-12kLV or 12000XP only. So instead I did the firmware update with a USB thumb drive (had to buy a 16GB drive, fortunately Office Depot still has some, and unearth an old windows laptop). After the update the firmware version is unchanged EAAB-1B1B. Is this the latest for the 12Kpv? The software glitch I was trying to resolve still remains. I'll ask that question elsewhere. For now my questions are is EAAB-1B1B the latest version for the 12Kpv and is one of the two available online updates that refer (sort of) to the 12Kpv the correct one? and if so, which?
The latest firmware for the 12kPV is 1E1E. It looks like yours didn't completely update to the latest firmware.
If you'd like, I can help you get the firmware updated to the correct one.
You can also do it remotely through the monitoring website or you can also use the EG4 app to update it.
@eric I thought so. The options to update in the EG4 app don't show 12KPV. And I just downloaded the firmware again from the 12KPV inverter page and it doesn't look like it's recent. The DWIN_SET file shows the last modification as Nov14, 2024. Yes, please help me out with this. My system has been working normally, charging the battery from my legacy enphase AC coupled system. I don't have any load or grid connection yet, I'm trying to get an electrician to do that. But this morning it stopped supplying voltage to the generator input which shut down the enphase system. It's still powering the load terminals with 240 V, but nothing on the generator port.

This forum seems to loose abut half my posts.
Hi Eric. It's Maui 12Kpv. A tech at Signature Solar offered to update the software yesterday, the current version after his update is EAAB-2021. I'm not sure that's correct. The LCD data is WAY out of sync with reality or the values shown in the Monitor, the EG4 app, or in the PV input data from my Enphase system. I had a recent email from Matthew Y'Barbo checking in with me (I'm an affiliate) and I mentioned the issues. I know things can go sideways with too many people trying to fix a problem, so I'm just letting you know about the potential for conflicting updates. LCD version is 14/1/1.
So a tech from Signature solar offered to update my firmware. It now shows the version as EAAB-2021. Is that the latest version? The power figures on the EG4 App seem to be radically off and don't update until I close the EG4 App and restart it. The LCD screen figures are even further off. I connected my tesla to the output as a test. The LCD screen said I was drawing 77watts, the EG4 App said 7950, and my tesla said it was charging with 32 amps at 240V which is 76980 watts. The tesla is the only load.
@ponobill
Yes, that is the correct and latest firmware. To display accurate data on the screen, you’ll need to update the LCD firmware. I’ve attached links to the LCD firmware and step-by-step instructions for the update process.
Please let me know if there is anything else you need or how I can help!
