I’m aware that some customers were able to update the MPPT firmware successfully without PV. However, I was informed that PV must be connected to properly complete the firmware update.

The new firmware does not require any special steps to update properly.

THX Eric,

Got it,

It seems like the safest bet is to have PV connected while there is few hundreds watts of PV production coming in....

Ive got a 6000XP installed around one year ago. We have a 240v Generator which we want to use to top off batteries on occasion. Currently, it only brings in the power to cover AC usage. Allegedly a firmware update allows the topping off of batteries, but when I go to update via Remote, I see this "notAllowRemoteTechSupport". Any help here would be great!

Update went smoothly.  Where can I get the latest changelog?

@Ravasunpower

Have you noticed any differences in the inverter behavior (fan noise) after firmware upgrade?

I just added a third inverter 6000xp to my set up. while doing so I updated all three parallel inverters to this 1C1212. I now have wild fluctuations in my battery voltage readout-55v to 57.5v. This oscillation is milli seconds apart. I have it set at 57.1 v absorb and 57 float with lead acid batts. I have noticed this with the first two inverters when first setting parameters. After a day or so the settled down and worked fine. Is this something these inverters do normally? Like learn where they need to be with each other? And will these three settle down, Eric EG4 will you weigh in on this?

@ray74
This behavior is not normal.

Which batteries are you using with your system?

How do you have the batteries connected?

Do you have the batteries connected to all 3 inverters?

Lead acid, two 24-volt fork-lift batteries wired in parallel. All three inverters are individually hooked across the 48 volts. I should state that the fluctuations are actually over three to five seconds and that changes a bit at lower battery charge settings. Also, I recently added another 6000xp to my two original and updated all three to ccaa-1C1212 when this oscillation started happening. This also happened when first installing the two in the beginning and after EG4 updated me to ccaa-190DOE those first two settled down and ran at 56.9 to 57v after a bit of time. Now even if I shut down all but one inverter it also keeps fluctuating.

Those are two 1000AH batteries in series which keeps them at 1000AH.

@ray74
Do you have a balancer for the Lead Acid batteries?
