I have a system that I would like to perform a firmware update on the gridboss and flexboss21. The IT infrastructure does not have backup power, meaning if the inverter or gridboss turns off it's output during the update I will lose connectivity. Will this be a problem? Will I need to connect a UPS to the modem, router, bridge, and access point while performing the update?.
Throughout the update, the inverter will automatically cycle power as it moves from one update to the next.
It's best if you have the modem and router on a power source that will not turn off.
You can also update the firmware through the app. It doesn't require the inverter to be connected to the internet.
