I have an off-grid setup with 2 EG4 18kpv inverters in parallel. My electrician just connected a Generac 15kw EcoGen for use in charging my batteries on cloudy days. It is all up and running but as I was testing the autostart feature, which worked great BTW, I have only seen at most 3kw of input into the Inverters from the generator. Just as a test I had set the auto start to kick in at 70% SOC. That worked perfectly but my batteries are only being charged at a VERY VERY low rate. My power usage is also currently very minimal so it's not as if all the power from the generator is going to power my house as I'm consuming less than 200 watts right now. I have attached a screen shot from Monitor page on the Inverter webpage.
I bet it’s your charge amp setting. What is it set at? If I remember right that setting is in DC amps but it doesn’t say that. It’s been a while but I think I’m right. Keep us updated
@eg4eric Yes, that was it. It was set to the default of 60 I think. I raised it substantially and it works now. That's a bit of a confusing setting. Better documentation would help. Thanks.
@pawnee Yep, that was it. Thanks! That is not documented very well.
@eagleridge
I'm glad you figured it out!
I will definitely pass the feedback along to our documentation team. Thank you!
