Is it possible to replace the 80 amp Gen breaker on the 12Kpv with a lower amp breaker, ideally in the 30 amp to 50 amp range? I'm using the Gen input for AC coupled solar and probably will never have more than 25 A of solar on my roof. Just trying to minimize wire gauge and conduit size on the new install. Obviously I could use a separate breaker outside of the inverter, but figured that maybe it was possible to just replace the breaker in the inverter.

@eg4eric do you happen to know whether the 12Kpv can accept breakers with lower amp ratings for the Gen or Load connections? I saw your post about new breakers for the grid boss
https://forum.eg4electronics.com/community/forum/20amp-breaker-for-gridboss/ but maybe that's completely different on the 12Kpv?

Unfortunately, the 12kPV wasn't designed to have the breakers replaced with smaller ones.

You can limit the amount of current used from the generator to charge the batteries and you can also limit wattage used from the generator.

@eg4eric Thanks for the info and that's fine, I've got lots of options.
