Right when my system hit 100% when using only solar my inverter shut down for a few seconds and then came back up.

I checked the logs and the only one I found was A25.  If I am reading the manual correctly A25 would be a battery over voltage???

Any ideas what would cause this.  Minimal loads never happened before that I am aware of. Snip of the data tab on batt volts:

Please elaborate on "shuts down". Are you saying it turned itself completely off momentarily?  I don't have the 6000XP but instead 2 3000's and when they reach 99% charged they don't shut off but there is a slow down of the cooling fans that is noticeable. Do your connected loads shut down also?

@frugal-farmer I am not sure if the inverter rebooted or what. It shut down all loads for a few seconds seemed to be about 5 to 10 seconds si I am guessing not a reboot.  Perhaps it just cycled the EPS.  But I do not understand why it would have done that.  System has been working pretty flawlessly for almost 6 months.

Hey @joel-brodeur Where are you seeing the A25?

@eric It is at the inverter under setting 22.

It happened again yesterday so I gave SS a call.  Running through some tests yesterday and today.

Thanks,

JB

@eric Visited with Jacqueline at SS tech support (awesome working with her, please tell @signaturesolarjess that Jacqueline deserves a raise after dealing with me Grin ).  Sent a bunch of pictures answered some questions.  Had me perform some tests and here is where we are at.

A25 appears to be an over temp fault.

Last action item was to power down the entire system, wait 10 minutes and power back up.

I did that and am now in the wait and watch mode since it is an intermittent issue.

While working with Jacqueline I came up with a few questions and a train of thought that may or may not be correct. Grin

So, it appears to be an Over Temp Fault but why did it only occur when batteries hit 100% on solar.

1 - If the inverter was overheating, shouldn't I have also received an overheating warning E13?

Or if the temp spike is occurring so quickly that it bypasses the warning and goes straight to fault.

2 - Wouldn't this indicate a much bigger issue?

This tends to make me think that there was just some logic issue and perhaps the full reboot will clear it up (at least for now).

If that is the case, then:

3 - Is there any way for me to view what the temp currently is?

4 - Instead of trying to determine whether it is a fault or a warning, taking pictures and videos to email off, is there any way to download the logs from the inverter so that they can just be sent to tech support so they can see the whole picture?

5 - If 2 is not available, is there any way to send the logs to the monitoring center so that the faults, and warnings would be available to tech support?

6 - Since the faults and warning appear to only hit the online monitor if they happen to occur during an upload strobe, is there any way that a flag could be set so that at the next upload strobe they would show up?

7 - Or if a warning or fault occurs it automatically initiates an upload to the monitor center?

8 - When I powered the system back up, the monitor center showed only 1 battery, local app showed 2 batteries (I have 2) after a couple of minutes the second battery did show up in the monitor center. Is this normal behavior or am I having some kind of comms issue?

9 - When I was getting a picture of the A25 fault for Jacqueline I also noticed that there were 3 A28 errors after yesterday's event.  Based on the manual I am assuming these are Sync signal lost in parallel system since they are in the same sub menu as the A25.  I only have 1 inverter so no parallel, again pointing to some kind of logic hiccough.  Does this make sense?

10 - @Eric, you have been working with me on the gen brown outs that occur when the batteries hit 100% and the gen shuts down.  Could this be a related issue?

Sorry 10 is too many questions but just trying to A - figure this out and B - help where I can.  🤔

Look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

JB

I don't believe A28 means it's a fault or warning code.
You would see a frowning face if it was a warning or fault code.

If it was a warning or a fault code, it would show on the monitoring website in the event history. I haven''t see anything on the event history, but I am looking further into this. I don't believe this is a series issue, unless the power is dropping, and the EPS is shutting off.

As far as the generator, I was just informed that they are working on a firmware to get this issue fixed.

@eric Great news in the gen update.  Can't wait 🙂 - It does raise another question for me, but I will save that for when the update comes out.

I am not seeing the A28 on the "active" screen or on the monitor website.  instead, I am seeing it on the inverter - setting 22 (the logs)

here is a video showing it:

I think that it happens so fast that it doesn't get uploaded to the monitor site.  Not certain how that works but there are many "events" in the inverter logs and none of them show up on the monitor site that I can find.

I see what you mean, that is interesting. I will look into this and see if this has occurred to anyone else.
