I have a Flexboss21 and dry contacts are metnioned in the manual. However I can't find any referencon how to program them. Is it possible to use the dry contact on the flexboss as a generator start signal
Yes, — but only if the device actually supports that function. If the manual mentions dry contacts but doesn’t explain how to program them, it’s possible the feature is there but not enabled by default. I’d suggest checking any advanced settings.
My understand (and I could be wrong) is that you need a grid boss paired with the Flexboss to get gen functionality.
Sometimes the easiest solution is the best solution.
Sometimes not.
well what are the dry contacts for. Please do not get hung up on the generator. How about an external fan at certain voltages or while charging?
I would just like to know if those dry contacts are usable or not.
Microgrid is enabled. But the only action in the app that changes the contacts state is the “ generator exercise “ button. What other parameters are available or necessary to change the state of the dry contacts?
@srafter2 hey, I would like to know if by using the contacts and setting the parameters in the settings you got the generator 2 wire system to work? Thanks
@srafter2 I was able to set generator dry contact parameters in the android app for my Flexboss18. No microgrid options appear for me either. I can set the SOC percentage to toggle on the dry contact and the percentage to turn it off in the app generator settings.
Expand the "Charge Setting - Generator" drop down and there are options to adjust when the dry contact becomes active.
I have mine setup to turn on a 220v contactor that turns a 30 amp receptacle on or off. The receptacle provides power to my Ecoworthy 60 amp 48v charger then when powered on just goes into AUTO and charges the batteries. When the SOC reaches the setpoint I chose, it kills power to the charger outlet and the charger. The contactor I am using from Amazon is shown here.
