I am seeing activity through the web site (monitor.eg4electronics.com), but still no data within the App (ios).

@eric any update on this. I am seeing a similar issue after bringing the nging my Gridboss and Flexboss21 online last night. The Gridboss does not show any battery data.

@mboo42 Are you saying that it's not showing the battery as shown in this picture?

@mboo42 Do you have the parallel cables set up correctly as shown on this design?

I'm chiming in to add more data that might help Nathan and the EG4 team's diagnostics. I had that same issue as Nathan in the web interface until I clicked the Parallel Sync button in the Device Monitor. After that, I was able to see battery, grid, backup, non-backup, and smart port stats in the monitor page. I don't see details for the inverter, it appears exactly as "D" in Eric's screenshot above in the block diagram.

In the iOS app, I see my battery stats, PV power, Backup power, and Grid power if I select Parallel_A. If I select the GridBOSS, I see no data at all. If I select my FlexBOSS, I see the same view as Parallel_A. I am not able to monitor my Smart Ports in the iOS app.

@wvannus, Support did do the Parallel sync as well and it still didn't fix it. Thanks though.

@eric I was on with Tech Support this morning and we corrected the parallel cables so they should be set up correctly now. However, I still don't have communication. On hold right now to see how the escalation went.

@mboo42 @wvannus

It should work following these instructions, but let me know if it doesn't.

  • Enable the Grid Boss Enable.
  • Confirm that the Grid Boss has only ONE master inverter on Set System Type
  • Enable Share Battery.

@eric This is what it is set to. I only have one inverter.

Still trying to get resolution from Tier 2 support. After hooking up the parallel cables correctly and doing the sync, the gridboss is just showing the Hybrid inverter light and no other lights are on. Seems to have everyone stumped.

Is the "Grid Boss Enable" option Enabled?
This would be located in the settings on the top right under "Working Mode" and then under "Advanced settings"

After a bit more work with Support, we got it going. The Flexboss was in Off Grid mode so it wouldn't see the Gridboss. Additionally I had a network cable that was using a splicer and once I swapped that out for a longer continuous Cat6 it started communicating with the gridboss. Thanks everyone.
