Today I unplugged the dongle, reconfigured it to work on my DSL line instead of my Xfinity line, and now it is working again.  I am not sure if it was the act of unplugging it or the change of Internet providers that kick-started it...and I am not about to investigate since it is working for now...maybe next time.  Thank goodness...I was getting withdrawal symptoms due to not being able to monitor my system whenever I wanted! Grin

In any case, I will repeat that this inverter really should have a hard-wired Ethernet jack (in addition to the dongle.)

@caesarv   BEHOLD!!

I too had "issues" with the wifi dongle.  The first 6 weeks I owned the 6000xp I had zero data.  That Included Colt and the rest of the Support team spending LOTS of time on the phone with me and even getting a replacement dongle sent out.

This ethernet dongle however, solved ALL of my problems.  I had to wait awhile because the previous version had some issues and my search & need fell into that dead zone just before go-live/release date.  However, the folks at Current Connected sent the pkg out UPS 2nd Day on their dime (I had paid for standard shipping), the day they received it!

It was certainly worth the investment and wait!

Thanks! I did not know that device existed.  I may look into this the next time my system goes out to lunch.  Of course, running a cable to the inverter in the garage would be a real pain.

I do not see any reported outages. I would recommend testing different channel numbers on your router's 2.4GHz band. Local interference on the current channel might be causing connection drops until the auto-detect feature switches to a more stable channel.

Many places ae getting very crowded on the 2.4GHz airspace.  Literally everything uses this frequency from smart appliances to security cameras and cell phones.  You can download a WiFi analyzer app for android and look at what strength of signals are in different locations to troubleshoot this issue.  I have had other devices flake out randomly due to the crowded 2.4 airspace and moving a router antenna might be all you need to do to fix this.
