I am running a 6000XP (3 mo old) in a totally off grid 48v system, 560A capacity, 240 split phase. It started shutting down today just after the batteries recharged to 100%, cycling power off for 30 seconds or so, and then auto cycling back up after self reboot. It shows a warning code 25 (inverter overheat) which then goes away.
After checking all house breakers (all fine) I turned the unit off for 10 mins as manual suggests. Same problem occurs repeatedly. With very little load (fridge and a few LED lights) there is no problem but with any sort of load - like a 600w InstaPot - shuts it down in a few minutes. 1200 watt water boiler even faster...these are small loads for this system.
The insulated inverter shed is a nice 55 degrees F, the 6000XP fans are working, blowing cold air, no burnt smell. It seems the unit is misdiagnosing a heat problem and shutting down. I've seen a post describing this same issue, with no resolution, perhaps requiring a replacement under warranty.
please advise, thanks
