We have a stack of 3 LifePower4 V2 batteries.  I upgraded them to the current firmware, and have the DIP switches set correctly.  I can bring up the BMS-Test software and open the port, but cannot get any information from the batteries. What should the Packs Number and the StartAdr numbers be?  At the bottom of the app, a Status message cycles through Address 1,2 and 3, saying read remote measurement information failed.

Any help appreciated!

For the master battery, you will want to start with Start Adr:0

Not sure if you've looked at the guide document but I'm attaching it in case you need it.

Thanks, I did read that, but was unclear if battery #1 was ID:0 or ID:1. My DIP switches are like this:

Do I make the Packs Number 3?

I am using the same cable I used to upgrade the batteries. RJ45 with pins 1 and 2 to a USB-A to my serial port.   I have the Ethernet cables connected Comm on 1 to Battery on 2, Comm on 2 to Battery on 3.

Does this sound correct?

Yes, that is correct. The only change you need to make is you would set the Master/Host (Battery #1) to ID:0

  • Battery #1 (Master/Host): ID: 0
  • Battery #2: ID: 1
  • Battery #3: ID: 2

Please let me know if this doesn't make sense to you or have any questions.
