Make sure that the DIP switches are correct on both the Gridboss and the 18kPV. Also, make sure you have the Gridboss option selected on the 18kPV.

The Gridboss is only compatible with Hybrid inverters. So, the 12000XP wouldn't work with the Gridboss. You would need a 18kPV, Flexboss21, Flexboss18...

The Gridboss is most like picking up some kind of signal on the Gen port. Make sure the Gen Breaker is off on the Gridboss.

Try trickle charging the battery. Charge at a low amperage, about 1-5 amps.
